Anniversary

Tracy Chrimes – 25 years – SFS Accounts Payable Supervisor

It is my pleasure to recognize Tracy Chrimes for her 25 years of Service with ABARTA!  Tracy began her career at RPI (Refreshment Products) on the North Side working in the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions of the business.  She made the move to Shared Financial Services in May of 1996 working in Accounts Payable.  Tracy’s years of dedication and commitment to her job enabled her to advance to her current role of Accounts Payable Supervisor.  She has proven herself to be a huge asset to ABARTA.  Please help me in congratulating Tracy on her outstanding achievement.

Anniversary

Ken Veverka – 30 Years, Customer Support Manager

It is with great appreciation, and my honor, to recognize Ken Veverka for his 30 years of dedication and service to ABARTA/Shared Financial Services.  Ken began his career with ABARTA back on August 27th 1984 as part of the internal audit group.  Ken worked for ABARTA's Internal Audit group for his first 12 years before accepting a key role in the start of Shared Financial Services where he has worked the past 18 years as our Customer Support Manager. Ken's knowledge, commitment, and dedication has been instrumental in the development of Shared Financial Services and our organizations overall success.  Please take the time to congratulate Ken on the achievement of this very special milestone.

Michelle Garrett – 10 Years, A/R Customer Account Representative

Michelle has really helped the Customer Support Department move forward.  She initially started working for Cleveland Coca-Cola, supported Buffalo as well, then moved onto Lehigh and most recently Kahiki Foods.

She is always open-minded to new ways of doing things and adapts quickly to changing business requirements and needs. Michelle has given our department both depth and flexibility. Her skill set will be much relied on as we progress on our way to new software systems in the near future; thanks Michelle for your dedication and for being a “team-player”.

Promotions



Congratulations!
It is with great pleasure that I announce the promotion of both Linda Taraborrelli and Kristeen Lucas to the positions of Senior Accountant with Shared Financial Services.  With the challenge given to SFS to reduce cost, we have eliminated a key accounting position, and as a result, Linda and Kristeen have agreed to take on additional responsibilities.  Linda has been with ABARTA for 8 plus years, and Kristeen just shy of 6 years.  Over that time, both have proven their value to our organization making this a well earned promotion for both.  While Linda’s focus will remain mainly in Non Beverage accounting, and Kristeen’s with Beverage accounting, both will be taking on additional responsibilities to fulfill the challenge presented to us.  Please join me in congratulating both Linda and Kristeen and wishing them the best in their new roles.

Promotion


It is with great delight that I announce the Promotion of Doug Shebeck to the position of Accounting Manager of Shared Financial Services.  Doug began his career at ABARTA almost 17 years ago with our Internal Audit group.  This experience has provided Doug the opportunity to understand how ABARTA operates and see first hand what makes our organization truly great.  Doug joined our Shared Financial Services team in 2000.  During these past 14 years, Doug has been exposed to all financial functions performed at Shared Financial Services and has always performed at a very high level.  Doug has earned respect inside and outside our organization and has demonstrated through his actions, great professionalism and leadership qualities.  Doug has certainly earned and is very deserving of this promotion.

It is with great pleasure that I announce the Promotion of Robert (BOB) Kobert to the position of Director of Finance Shared Financial Services.  I first met Bob when he was the Controller of Coatesville Coca-Cola.  At the time, ABARTA was only a minority owner, and the Company was operated by the Filaroma Family.  Bob showed the ability to manage the financial function, and also the skill to relate to people of varying personalities in a professional manor.  Since moving to ABARTA, he has grown professionally and personally.  The Company is lucky to have someone of his talents to step into this critical role. Retirement


ANNOUNCEMENT
Tom McManus – 40 Years, Director of Finance

It is with mixed emotions that I announce the retirement of Tom McManus as Director of Finance, Shared Financial Services.   I am pleased for Tom as he is now able to spend the time he wants with his family and will perhaps finally learn to play golf.  On the other hand, he has been a great performer for a very long time and has contributed significantly to ABARTA’s success.  He will be missed.  Tom’s retirement will become effective January 1, 2014.  He will be around through year-end close and has agreed to answer the phone if we have questions.
