It is my pleasure to recognize Patrick upon reaching ten years of service with ABARTA. Patrick has a very “hands on” approach to his duties and shows much flexibility to the numerous aspects of supporting both our Coca-Cola and our Kahiki Foods Divisions.

His commitment and attention to detail has contributed greatly to our success. Please congratulate Patrick when the opportunity arises.  He would be happy to discuss collections, hockey, or baseball, not necessarily in that order. Be assured, Patrick maintains many “statistics” regarding all of the above.

From one “Virgo” to another….

The three words I would use to best describe Paula Hill are: committed, detailed, and reliable!  Fortunately for all of us, she does not yet know the meaning of a “sick” day. Paula balances “collections” with customer service well; it can often times be very challenging. She has a genuine concern for our drivers, salespersons, the finance staff, and all other employees of Buffalo Coca-Cola, not to mention all of our customers. Paula has been and continues to be a very valued employee; she is always open-minded to new ways and will be instrumental when we convert to Eostar next year. Again, my respect and thanks upon reaching the fifteen year milestone and for all you do for our company,

New Hires

“Welcome New Hires!”

I am pleased to announce the addition of Carla Prince to the Shared Financial Services Accounts Payable Department.  Carla takes over the position of Accounts Payable Assistant from the retirement of Debbie Loftus. Carla recently moved back to the area after spending approximately 23 years living and working in the New York City area.  With her 20 plus years of accounts payable experience she will be integral in helping to strengthen our customer support. Please join me in welcoming Carla to the ABARTA family. 

I am happy to announce that Sandy Doyle has agreed to join the Shared Financial Services Accounts Payable Department!  Sandy has worked for ABARTA for over 15 years and has been with four Divisions.  She started back in August of 1982 with RPI, moved to Summit Supply from 1990 through 1995, joined AOG in January of 2010 and starts a new journey with SFS in 2015.  Welcome Sandy, you are a great addition to our team.

Linda Taraborrelli – 10 Years – Shared Financial Services

Congratulations Linda, on reaching the 10 year club!!  Linda has spent the majority of her time focusing on Non-Beverage accounting over her career with SFS.  Her solid work effort in her early years enabled her to be recently promoted to Senior Accountant.  Her commitment to her job and attention to detail have played a major role in her success.  Please help me in congratulating Linda for her years of service.

Tracy Chrimes – 25 years – SFS Accounts Payable Supervisor

It is my pleasure to recognize Tracy Chrimes for her 25 years of Service with ABARTA!  Tracy began her career at RPI (Refreshment Products) on the North Side working in the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions of the business.  She made the move to Shared Financial Services in May of 1996 working in Accounts Payable.  Tracy’s years of dedication and commitment to her job enabled her to advance to her current role of Accounts Payable Supervisor.  She has proven herself to be a huge asset to ABARTA.  Please help me in congratulating Tracy on her outstanding achievement.

Ken Veverka – 30 Years, Customer Support Manager

It is with great appreciation, and my honor, to recognize Ken Veverka for his 30 years of dedication and service to ABARTA/Shared Financial Services.  Ken began his career with ABARTA back on August 27th 1984 as part of the internal audit group.  Ken worked for ABARTA's Internal Audit group for his first 12 years before accepting a key role in the start of Shared Financial Services where he has worked the past 18 years as our Customer Support Manager. Ken's knowledge, commitment, and dedication has been instrumental in the development of Shared Financial Services and our organizations overall success.  Please take the time to congratulate Ken on the achievement of this very special milestone.

Michelle Garrett – 10 Years, A/R Customer Account Representative

Michelle has really helped the Customer Support Department move forward.  She initially started working for Cleveland Coca-Cola, supported Buffalo as well, then moved onto Lehigh and most recently Kahiki Foods.

She is always open-minded to new ways of doing things and adapts quickly to changing business requirements and needs. Michelle has given our department both depth and flexibility. Her skill set will be much relied on as we progress on our way to new software systems in the near future; thanks Michelle for your dedication and for being a “team-player”.

Congratulations!

It is with great pleasure that I announce the promotion of both Linda Taraborrelli and Kristeen Lucas to the positions of Senior Accountant with Shared Financial Services.  With the challenge given to SFS to reduce cost, we have eliminated a key accounting position, and as a result, Linda and Kristeen have agreed to take on additional responsibilities.  Linda has been with ABARTA for 8 plus years, and Kristeen just shy of 6 years.  Over that time, both have proven their value to our organization making this a well earned promotion for both.  While Linda’s focus will remain mainly in Non Beverage accounting, and Kristeen’s with Beverage accounting, both will be taking on additional responsibilities to fulfill the challenge presented to us.  Please join me in congratulating both Linda and Kristeen and wishing them the best in their new roles.

It is with great delight that I announce the Promotion of Doug Shebeck to the position of Accounting Manager of Shared Financial Services.  Doug began his career at ABARTA almost 17 years ago with our Internal Audit group.  This experience has provided Doug the opportunity to understand how ABARTA operates and see first hand what makes our organization truly great.  Doug joined our Shared Financial Services team in 2000.  During these past 14 years, Doug has been exposed to all financial functions performed at Shared Financial Services and has always performed at a very high level.  Doug has earned respect inside and outside our organization and has demonstrated through his actions, great professionalism and leadership qualities.  Doug has certainly earned and is very deserving of this promotion.

ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with great pleasure that I announce the Promotion of Robert (BOB) Kobert to the position of Director of Finance Shared Financial Services.  I first met Bob when he was the Controller of Coatesville Coca-Cola.  At the time, ABARTA was only a minority owner, and the Company was operated by the Filaroma Family.  Bob showed the ability to manage the financial function, and also the skill to relate to people of varying personalities in a professional manor.  Since moving to ABARTA, he has grown professionally and personally.  The Company is lucky to have someone of his talents to step into this critical role.
